Tekeraheza was created with one bold goal: to make clean cooking affordable, accessible, and convenient for every household. At Yes Shop Ltd, we saw that millions of families still faced daily challenges in accessing LPG. Limited refill options, fragmented distribution, and the absence of digital traceability made clean cooking more expensive, less reliable, and difficult to scale. We believed there had to be a better way. That belief inspired the creation of Tekeraheza—Rwanda's pioneering digital platform that modernizes the entire LPG ecosystem. By combining QR-code cylinder identification, cloud-based asset management, mobile technology, and a network of authorized dealers and LPG filling plants, Tekeraheza delivers a smarter, safer, and more transparent cooking experience for households, businesses, and industry partners.
Beyond simplifying LPG access, Tekeraheza is driving a new era of innovation through its Open Access 3kg LPG Cylinder Ecosystem, enabling participating LPG filling plants to refill registered cylinders while maintaining digital traceability, safety compliance, and customer confidence. This approach improves convenience, strengthens competition, and expands clean cooking access to underserved communities.
Today, Tekeraheza proudly supports Rwanda's clean cooking ambitions, including the online ordering of government-subsidized LPG stoves under the ASCENT Clean Cooking Program, while collaborating with development partners, investors, and industry stakeholders to accelerate the transition to modern energy. Our goal is ambitious yet simple: to connect one million households to clean, affordable, and digitally managed cooking solutions, creating healthier families, stronger communities, and a more sustainable future for Africa.
